The Benefits of Curling

At the OCA Zone 3 meeting at the Huntley Curling Club, OCA's Doug Bakes provided the following (in atddtion to the earlier article on the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act):

From Margaret Lomore: "The Business of Curling workshop took place September 14th in Renfrew. It was sponsored by the OVCA & the presenters were from the CCA. Fifteen clubs were represented and their 35 members gathered many ideas to take back with them. As a curling centre we want to not only "survive" but "thrive"! All members can help with this objective by volunteering some time during the season." A special "Thank you" to Danny Lamoureux and his team!

Duncan Jamieson (OVCA survey), Frank Van Rykeghem (OVCA VP) Margaret Lomore (OVCA Liaison) and two Algonquin College marketing presentors met with representatives from Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke on April 23, 2013. Copies of Frank's and Margaret's notes can be found here. A copy of executive summary of the Algonquin College Arnprior CC marketing study can be found here.
