Carleton Heights Curling Club Announces a new program of instructions for all levels curlers.
Would you like to learn to curl or improve your game? We have set aside three sets of six Tuesday afternoons from 2:30 – 4:30 pm. The first one starts October 7 and runs to November 25, the second runs from January 6 to February 10 and the third one, if there is enough demand will run from February 17 until April7.
Each session is limited to 32 curlers.
We have certified instructors who will give you the attention you need as a beginner, or experienced curler.
The cost of the program is $100.00 per person plus HST for each six week block.
The deadline for applying for the first session is October 1st.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER: October 5, 2014 – An ICEBREAKER at the RCMP curling club will run from 9 to noon. This will give your team or an individual a chance to meet others and maybe find a new player. Of course you can practice as well!
League organizers will also be there.
October 26, 2014: A special event will take place that will bring registered teams close to greatness! More details once you register.

The Gananoque Curling Club, in conjunction with the Brockville Country Club, present "From Rocks to Docks"
For only $25, you can sail the beautiful 1000 Islands for 3 hours, including appetizers. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society.
Not good enough? Okay, how about this - joining you abord ship will be Olympic Gold Medalists Brad Jacobs(2014) and Brad Gushue (2006), Olympic Silver Medalist David Murdoch, and Olympic Bronze Medalist and World Champion Eve Muirhead.
The cruise will take place on Wednesday, Sept 17th, from 4 to 7pm.

It may be the most important event on the curling calendar, and Senators Sports & Entertainment want to bring it to Ottawa.
Its the Tim Horton's Roar of the Rings - the Canadian Olympic trials. Senators Sports & Entertainment, in partnership with Ottawa Tourism, will be submitting a bid to host the 2017 Roar at Canadian Tire Centre.
The OVCA fully supports SSE and Ottawa Tourism in this bid and we are confident in our chances to be chosen as the host city.
Your Club President has received a link to an email that can be sumbitted to SSE for inclusion in their bid package. This letter needs to be sent by Tuesday, August 26th for inclusion.
Encourage your President to lend their support to the bid. We'll post updates as they become available on how every member of the curling community can show their support as well!
